🌼 झेंडू (Marigold) – ओळख आणि जाती

झेंडू हे वर्षभर घेतले जाणारे एक लोकप्रिय फुलपीक आहे, जे सणासुदीला आणि सजावटीसाठी मोठ्या प्रमाणात वापरले जाते.

जाती (Varieties): स्थानिक प्रकारचे नारंगी आणि पिवळे झेंडू (Local types orange & yellow) लागवडीसाठी उपयुक्त आहेत.
पिकाचा कालावधी (Crop Duration): सुमारे 130 ते 150 दिवस.

Marigold is a popular flower crop cultivated throughout the year, widely used for festivals and decoration.

Varieties: Local types orange & yellow are suitable for cultivation.
Crop Duration: About 130 – 150 days.

🌦️ जमीन आणि पेरणी/लागवड

जमीन (Soil): उत्तम निचरा होणारी पोयट्याची जमीन (Well-drained loamy soil) योग्य. जमिनीचा pH 7.0 ते 7.5 असावा. खारट आणि आम्लयुक्त जमीन टाळावी.
पेरणी (Sowing): बियाणे वर्षभर पेरले जाते. 1.5 किलो बियाणे प्रति हेक्टर वापरावे.
पुनर्लागवड (Transplanting): रोपे चार आठवड्यांनंतर लावावीत.
अंतर (Spacing): ओळीतील अंतर 4 फूट आणि रोपांतील अंतर 1.5 सेमी (किंवा अंदाजे 1.5 फूट/45 सेमी) ठेवावे.

🌦️ Soil and Sowing/Planting

Soil: Well-drained loamy soil is suitable. Soil pH should be 7.0 to 7.5. Avoid saline and acidic soils.
Sowing: Seeds are sown throughout the year. Use 1.5 kg seeds/ha.
Transplanting: Seedlings are transplanted after four weeks.
Spacing: Row to row distance 4 ft and plant to plant distance 1.5 cm (or approximately 1.5 ft/45 cm) spacing.

💧 खत व्यवस्थापन, सिंचन आणि ड्रेचिंग

शेणखत (FYM): शेवटच्या नांगरणीत 20 टन/हेक्टर शेणखत मिसळावे.
रासायनिक खते (Chemical Fert): 1.10.26.26 (4 बॅग) + DAP (4 बॅग) + 50 किलो सूक्ष्म अन्नद्रव्ये प्रति हेक्टर.
सिंचन (Irrigation): आठवड्यातून एकदा किंवा गरजेनुसार पाणी द्यावे. पाणी साचू देऊ नये. लागवडीनंतर लगेच आणि तिसऱ्या दिवशी जीवनामृत सिंचन करावे.
ड्रेचिंग (Drenching): लागवडीनंतर 2, 5, 10, आणि 17 व्या दिवशी (उदा. 19.19.00 + Humic Acid, Metalaxyil + Mancozeb, Volumeflexi).
बायोखते (Biofertilizers): लागवडीनंतर 2 किलो Azospirillum आणि 2 किलो Phosphobacteria प्रति हेक्टर ड्रेचिंग करावे.

💧 Fertilization, Irrigation, and Drenching

FYM: Incorporate 20t/ha of FYM during last ploughing.
Chemical Fert: Apply 1.10.26.26 (4 bag) + DAP (4 bag) + 50kg micronutrient per hectare.
Irrigation: Done once a week or as necessary. Avoid water stagnation. Give life irrigation on the third day after planting.
Drenching: Done at 2nd, 5th, 10th, and 17th day after plantation (e.g., 19.19.00 + Humic Acid, Metalaxyil + Mancozeb, Volumeflexi).
Biofertilizers: Drenching application of 2 kg each of Azospirillum and Phosphobacteria per ha after planting.

✂️ शेंडा खुडणे (Nipping/Tipping)

झाडाला जास्त फांद्या येण्यासाठी आणि फुलांचे उत्पादन वाढवण्यासाठी हा महत्त्वाचा टप्पा आहे.

वेळ: लागवडीनंतर 21 दिवसांनी.
कृती: झाडाचा शेंड्याचा भाग खुडून/काढून टाकावा (terminal portion should be tipped / removed) यामुळे फांद्या फुटण्यास प्रोत्साहन मिळते.

This is a crucial step to encourage branching and increase flower yield.

Timing: 21 days after planting.
Action: The terminal portion should be tipped / removed to encourage branching.

लाल कोळी (Red Spider Mite)	1. Abamectin 1.9 EC – 0.5 मिली / लीटर किंवा 2. Fenazaquin @ 2 मिली / लीटर किंवा 3. Exodus (natural lactones) @ 2 मिली / लीटर
फुलकिडे (Thrips – Thrips tabaci)	उपाय: प्रति एकर 20 पिवळे आणि 20 निळे चिकट सापळे (sticky trap) लावावेत.
फुलकिडे (फवारणी)	1. Fipronil – 1.5 मिली / लीटर किंवा 2. Spiromesifen 0.75 मिली / लीटर किंवा 3. Azardiractin 3 मिली / लीटर किंवा 4. Imidacloprid 17.8 SC 0.5 मिली / लीटर

वेळ: लागवडीपासून 60 दिवसांनी फुले तोडण्यास सुरुवात करावी.
पद्धत: फुले रोज तोडावीत.
उत्पादन: पिकाचा कालावधी सुमारे 130-150 दिवस असतो, त्यामुळे काढणीचा काळ बराच लांबतो.

Marigold flowers are generally ready for harvest around 60 days after planting.

Timing: Flowers are picked daily starting from 60 days after planting.
Method: Flowers should be picked daily.
Yield Period: Since the crop duration is about 130-150 days, the harvest period is quite long.
